I SEE I HEAR
This is a experimental project about sound visualisation. We want to know How can sound visualisation work in our society? How different or similar people’s imagination of sound are? If it would be a new way of communication to understand and imagine through music or sound.
To understand how similar we think of the music or sound, or how different we think of it. We made an online questionnaire with 13 drawings and sounds/music to ask people match them. After the survey, we tried to look into all the elements that we used, then we found there are some common patterns and colours that when we drew same sounds.
A series of zine is our outcome for this project. We divided the pictures and sounds/music in 5 categories, such as classical music, pop music, music from movies or animation etc,.In each zine, there is a main picture of the sound, used elements and colours, survey result and a QR code that people could access to the sound of the picture.
